Welcome to Reel Relics

Classic Films

Reel Relics brings you those great, and not so great, films from the 1930’s to the 1960’s. You are free and welcome to view these films, and rate them. Links to download the movies in higher quality are also available for most films.

As new films are added they are categorized and tagged for (hopefully) easy searching. You’ll also find a link to related movies similar in theme to the one you’re viewing.

For more Vintage Horror, don’t forget to visit VintageHorror.com! You’ll find articles on classic horror writers, interesting links, and Vintage Horror Radio which brings you old time radio horror stories. If it’s old and creepy, we try to cover it!

All the films featured here are believed to be in the public domain.

Reel Relics RSS Feed

There won’t be, for the foreseeable future anyway, a Reel Relics podcast as I once had wanted. The issue is the large size of the files, and the computer power/patience/know-how needed to encode the files. Most video podcasts tend to be very short so those things aren’t much of an issue, but a feature length film, as you can imagine, is much larger. That’s why I decided on a website that offered a flash player as well as a link to download a higher quality version.

I have created, however, an RSS feed you can subscribe to that will bring you all the newest (to the site) films. This feed can be plugged into iTunes, and the movies will download, but I make no guarantee as to them working properly on iPods or any other portable player. I don’t have a video iPod so I can’t test anything, and I’m not sure how I’d fix anything if it didn’t work anyway! So here is the feed, us it at your own enjoyment/frustration.
